06/17/2019 - Changes in nomenclature of entities

Hey devs, welcome to another LinkApi changelog.

We've been working hard in this update, so we have a lot to cover! We're always improving on how to bring the best experience to Developers, so we figured it was time to change some nomenclatures inside the product. In the same time, always keeping an eye in velocity, we're giving you some shortcuts.

Here's our changelog:

Changelog

  • improved: The Catalog page is new called Packages - You now have some filters to find the Apps you need -- Private or Pre-Built. You can filter them with the sidebar menu or search for its name.
  • improved: The Universal Apps are now called Pre-Built Apps. - We figured it was a more intuitive name to what they really are. We expect your feedback to keep improving our list.
  • improved: The Pooling Triggers are now called Jobs. - We're separating the projects to Automations and API based on their activation. Don't worry, all your old projects will still work, this is only avaiable to new ones. The Automations will be activated through what we called Pooling Trigger, but now it's a Job. You can program Automations to schedule time period or time stamp. The API projects will activate to what we called HTTP Trigger, you'll need to expose your project to a certain URL, and you can choose between sharing entire Automation flows or a single App Resource. More details in our API Management article.
  • added: A whole-new Packages page! More filters and Apps.
  • added: Create Projects inside the Packages page - A new shortcut to create projects, both Automation and API.
  • added: ⭐ New Freemium accounts! - We proudly present our Freemium account service. You can try LinkApi for free with a limited account and have a taste of the tools we have to offer. You can request a Freemium Developer account on our webpage.
